Hey all,
So here's what I know about buying plane tickets; it's not much but I hope it'll help you all schedule your flights.
1. Buy on a Wednesday: For some reason buying your plane tickets on a Wednesday gets you cheaper flights.
2. Check out studentuniverse.com: I got my ticket there for $1091 so it was kind of a steal.
3. ...It seems I only know two things about buying plane tickets, so....
Also, a quick question, do we need to worry about visas? And is anyone planning on getting a job in Japan? I think it might be fun/a good way to practice one's Japanese.

I was looking through cheaptickets.com and they weren't quite as steep as the ones Greg had up.. I've always gotten my tickets through some kind of site like that instead of through the airline and it's been pretty cheap. I think I was mostly looking at non-American flights though.. cheap flights... haha.
My friend also highly recommended studentuniverse.org. She said there's a certain amount of student tickets available for cheap on flights that they don't advertise, and they do look pretty cheap. They also show how many seats are left so it would be easier to organize the same flight.
To Greg's question about leaving Japan, I was thinking I'd stay til like the 4th or 5th or so.. hmm.. I'm not sure!
And with visas, mine might be different since I'm direct enroll, but I have to fill out an application for a certificate of eligibility and give it to Sophia to submit for me, and then they send me my visa app? Something like that? It's weird and going to take way too long..
As for a job, I doubt I'll try and find anything. I think it'd be a good experience, but not for my first time in Japan/abroad. I kinda just wanna be able to relax and enjoy myself as much as I can since I tend to overburden myself with extra stuff like that ^^;
Hope everyone had a great christmas, greetings from Florida!
Quickly before I go to dinner...
if we use those sites, can we choose our seats?
i don't think so; i think it's whatever they have left.
that's a pretty good question though, b/c it always sucks to be stuck between two people that you don't know and who happen to be more annoying than anything you've ever encountered.
that's just my opinion though.
I'll pay $50 to sit next to you Natalie! : D
